it’s mine!

All of the forth coming poems that I will post over the next several days are quite old. I’m going to selectively put them up here. I’m only going to put the ones that don’t make me shudder in absolute something. I don’t know what they make me shudder in but I don’t like it. And just think as bad as the ones you are reading are, the ones I don’t put up are much much worse.

There was a dog
Who liked to jog
In streams and in rivers
Cold and wet
Evoking the vet
It whined and it shivered
Don’t you worry
It’s no hurry
Euphoria will be delivered
There was another dog
Who liked to jog
In fields and in a prairie
Calm and mild
Entertaining the child
It was not that wary
Long before it’s time
It died in its prime
Venturing close to an aerie
Eaten by Eagles

I’ve always had an issue buying mp3s. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to buy more of them if they came cheaper. Sometimes I get in the mind set of why aren’t they cheaper? There’s no production cost like CDs. Then I remember about servers and internet fees and crap like that. Then I get disheartened because they don’t come cheaper, are at a worse quality than the CD and don’t come with the satisfying tearing into that you get with a CD.
However, I tend to buy the CD, make mp3s of it and store the CD away in some nice place and never look at it again. My mp3s are twice the quality you get from the iTunes music store, and if something goes wrong, I have the CD to fall back to.
I bring all of this up because recently I actually bought something from iTunes (instead of browsing and then seraching for a torrent). iTunes is doing a good job of creating exclusive tracks to pump up business I think. That’s what suckered me into it atleast. But until they allow me to get them at a higher quality, I won’t buy regularly.
Oh, I should point out by the way that in Japan, video stores also have a pretty good selection of CDs you can rent for $1. I’d much rather rent the thing for $1 and make nicer mp3s plus get all the great bonus tracks they throw on CDs here. But they don’t have Mike Doughty, so I’ll buy that. Yeah. That’s all.

For the photo stuff, I need to redo my gallery. For the writing… well I just need to burn them but that would involve burning my computer because they aren’t on paper and I can’t do that because I love my computer

So, I’ve finally gotten off my lazy ass and setup my website. Why? I’m still asking my self that. It’s the age old question: If I update my website and no one knows to look at it, does it make a sound? Yes, it does. It sounds like dooo dii dooo dabudah dah dah dah bibi-bi-bi-boh eyah!

Continuing on with this charade of typing text I must say that blue squirrels will never have the courage to defeat the army of red fire-breathing chipmunks. Their numbers are too great to be over come by mere squirrels. Did I mention the fact that they breath fire? You would think that the squirrels would have the advantage after inventing a fireproof force field, but these are squirrels; smart enough to invent the force field, too dumb to use it.
